It’s hard to define or describe the effervescent energy of Switzerlands glacial lakes, and their incredible show of colour, constantly changing throughout the seasons. This is St. Moritz Bad (lake) in the canton of Graubünden in late March as Winter thaws and Spring begins.

Early morning mist intensifies the light low on the water: A dance of bright glacial petrol blue. The midday sun awakens coppery blue, and at Sunset it dances again in the deepest cyans and teals, giving way to a blanket of peppermint grey in the fading evening light.
